Stewart Jesse Giem
(Oct. 31, 1922 – Jan. 13, 2010)
Stewart Giem, born and raised in Bienfait, Saskatchewan, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the age of 87 years in Estevan, Saskatchewan.
Stewart was predeceased by his parents: Jesse and Ruth Giem; five brothers; an infant son at birth, and grandson, Kevin Giem.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Katie Giem, children: Garry (Toni) Giem of California, Darwin (Sheila) of Kenosee Lake, SK, Warren (Sharon) Giem of Estevan, SK, Blair (Karen) Giem of Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Denise (Mike) Collin of California, Ken (Ellie) Giem of Texas, Wendy Alexander (Jeremy) of Estevan, SK, Jess Giem of Calgary, AB, Marcy (Ryan) Huber of Williston, ND, Mandy Giem (Shane) of Williston, ND, Tammy (Tom) Daniel of Chilliwack, BC, Shelly (Darryl) Mack of Estevan, SK; great grandchildren: James and Justine Collin, Ryan and Tyler Alexander, Chris Giem, Kayla and Colton Daniel, and Brittany, Megan, and Makenna Mack; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Stewart will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion (large hall), Estevan, with Mr. Doug Third officiating. All are invited to remain for a luncheon at the Legion Hall following the service. A private family interment will take place in the Bienfait Cemetery.
Those so wishing may make donations to a charity of choice in Stewart’s memory. Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
