Katie Turk
(March 17, 1910 – November 19, 2010)
On Friday, November 19, 2010, Katie Turk, late of Estevan, SK, passed away at Hill View Manor in Estevan at the age of 100 years.
Katie is survived by her children: Elaine (Mike) Baryluk, Mildred (John) Friedrich, Don (Doloris) Turk, Doris (Mel) Scott, Caroline Spiers, Lorne (Eunice) Turk and Byron (Colleen) Turk; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents: Angela and Reinhold Getz; husband Dean; son Raymond and 9 brothers and sisters.
A prayer service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan with Mr. Doug Third officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Monica’s R.C. Church, Bienfait, SK by Rev. Peter Nijssen. Interment will follow in the Bienfait Cemetery.
