Archie Arne Mantei
(Feb. 5, 1928 – Sept. 30, 2010)
Archie Mantei, late of Estevan, SK., passed away in Estevan on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the age of 82 years.
Archie was born on February 5, 1928 to parents Edward and Elizabeth Mantei, the 7th of 11 children. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his siblings, Herman Mantei, Albert Mantei, William Mantei, Bertha Cundall, Rudy Mantei and Ella (Elmer) Jensen, and brothers-in-law Henry Wingert and Frank Dimeter.
His memory will be forever cherished by his family: wife of 60 years, Lois Mantei (nee Mowrey) of Estevan; son Terry (Wilma) Mantei of Estevan; grandchildren, Lee (Simone) Mantei of Estevan, Andrea Mantei of Estevan and Paul (Stacey) Mantei of Estevan; great grandchildren, Daniel, Samuel, Kalem, Ryder and Chloe Mantei; siblings, Margaret Wingert of Estevan, Lenora (Bill) Konopaki of Penticton, B.C., Clara Demeter of Regina and Clarence (Esther) Mantei of Estevan; brother-in-law Tom Cundall of Estevan and sisters-in-law, Martha Mantei of Estevan, Myrtle (Cliff) Finstad of Estevan and Lillian Mantei of Regina, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and good friends.
A service to celebrate Archie’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Estevan, with Rev. Randy Kleemola officiating. Interment will take place in a family ceremony.
