Evelyn Ellis Johner
(February 11, 1928 – September 9, 2010)

Evelyn Johner passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the age of 82 years.

Evelyn was born in 1928 in Southey, Saskatchewan. In 1945, she married William Johner. They were blessed with 14 children and lived the majority of their life on the family farm near Estevan.

Evelyn leaves as her legacy, her children:
Gerald (Janice) Johner of Estevan; Lawrence (Charlotte) Johner of Estevan; Kenneth Johner (Pat Norrie) of Kindersley; Norman (Rose-Anne) Johner of Indian Head; Phyllis Dzuba (Dan Gedak) of Estevan; Carol Johner of Saskatoon; Raymond (Bonnie) Johner of Balgonie; Andrew (Gwen) Johner of Indian Head; Susan (Kelvin) Bath of Estevan; Joyce Johner (Sheldon Gray) of Vancouver; Tracie (Ken) Ansell of Regina; 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren (and one on the way); brother Albert (Daisy) Tease, sisters Bernice Tees and Lillian (Chuck) Kee; sisters-in-law Rose Johner, Violet Tease, Sister Margaret Johner; brothers-in-law Jim Ziegler and Matt (Berneice) Johner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband William, three children, Simon Peter, Bethy and Angie; parents, Phyllis and Gustav Teas; brothers Fred and Gordon, and sister Irene Ziegler.

Evelyn enjoyed creating beauty and life, sculpting stunning vignettes throughout her yard and often growing something just for the challenge of seeing it grow.
She loved lilies, lights and Life.

Prayers will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Funeral Mass will be con-celebrated on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Estevan, by Rev. Joel Rama and Rev. Basil Chomos. Interment will follow in the Estevan City Cemetery.
