Cecile Frances McFarling
(May 6, 1947 – April 7, 2011)
Cecile Frances McFarling (nee Farr) age 63 of Estevan, SK was called home after a courageous battle with cancer on April 7, 2011. Cecile was born May 6, 1947 in Regina, SK and raised in the Carnduff/Alida area.
Cecile is predeceased by her husband of 21 years Bryson McFarling, her adoptive parents Wilfred and Dora Farr, her biological father Cecil Weckman, and her niece Sharolynn Farr. She will be lovingly remembered by her spouse Keith Hamer, sons Allan (Sarah) Alexander, Warren (Tanya) Alexander, daughter Sherri Bruce (Doug Jensen),and stepsons Sean (Krista) McFarling, Jason (Keri) McFarling. Also survived by her biological mother Helen Hagel, sister Kren Weckman, brother Cliff (Marcy) Farr, brother Dean (Linda) Weckman, sister Diana (Doug) Thorn, brother Ron Thompson (Diana Insley), sister Lorna Boyd, and sister Myrna Forge. Cec will also be missed by her sixteen grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren,as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved in-laws.
With tears we watched you suffer
as you slowly faded away
our hearts were completely broken
as you fought so hard to stay
we knew you had to leave us
but you never went alone
because part of us went with you
the day you left your home
There will be a celebration of life held in memory of Cecile on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, 1506 4th Street, Estevan. Everyone is welcome to join the family for a late luncheon immediately following with location to be announced after the service. If friends so wish, donations may be made to a charity of their choice in memory of Cecile McFarling.
