Esther Lillian Graefer
(May 2, 1918 – February 18, 2011)
Esther Lillian Graefer (nee Bergum), born May 2, 1918, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2011 at the age of 92 years.
Predeceased by her husband, Carl Graefer; son, Duane Graefer; parents, Anton and Inga Bergum; step-mother, Esther Bergum; brothers and sisters-in-law, Art (Gladys) Bergum and Len (Rae) Bergum.
She is survived by her son, Dale (Rozann) Graefer; daughter, Ingrid (Don) Toews; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Graefer; grandchildren, Jason Toews (Tashia Walters), Chad (Marina) Toews, Amanda (Brad) Bohnet, Michael (Laurie) Toews, Shane Graefer, Shelan Westling, Jessica (James) Baldwin, Pam (Brad) Groshong, Erin (Dale) Pretty, and Andy Graefer (Trish); ten wonderful great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Esther was a kind and gentle soul who will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Estevan with Pastor Cicely McDougall officiating. A private family interment will take place in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Torquay. Pallbearers will be Jason Toews, Chad Toews, Michael Toews, Shane Graefer, Andy Graefer and James Baldwin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Esther to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Estevan.
