Daniel Leon Balon
(January 28, 1924 – February 19, 2011)
Daniel Balon, formerly of Frobisher, SK, passed away in Lampman, SK on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the age of 87 years.
Daniel is survived by his children, Norma (Brian) Pierrot of Vernon, B.C., Lyle Balon of Frobisher and Wayne (Melanie) Balon of Estevan, SK; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kyle) Rose and their son Jensen, of Fort McMurray, AB, Rhonda (Marc) Hirsch of Beaumont, AB, Cody and Boone Balon of Estevan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and family friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Virona; wife Margaret; brothers, John, Peter, Bill and George and sisters, Mary and Marjorie.
A Memorial Service for Daniel will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, 1506 4th Street, Estevan. Rev. Daniel Krauss will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make donations to the Lampman Community Health Centre in Daniel’s memory.
