August Joseph Pierrard
(June 13, 1921 – March 29, 2011)
August Joseph Henry Pierrard (Gus) Passed away in Regina on March 29, 2011 at the age of 89.
Gus is survived by his loving children, Kenneth (Joy), Keith, Jane, Esmond (Leona), Barbara, Charles (Cynthia) as well as 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Gus was predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie on Sept. 9th, 1998 and infant daughter Roberta on Sept 23rd, 1956.
Gus was born in Alberta but raised in Saskatchewan. Over his lifetime he lived across Canada working on the Trans Canada Pipeline, on farms or as a carpenter or to be by his children.
A memorial service for Gus will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Knox United Church, Redvers, with Rev. Cornelia van Bentum officiating. Interment will take place in the Redvers Town Cemetery.
If desired contributions may be made in Gus's memory to The Last Post Fund, (51 St Annes Road, Winnipeg MB, R2M 2Y4) as Gus was proud of his service with the Canadian Army during WWII, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
