Patrick Henry Branigan
(May 15, 1931 – January 3, 2012)

Patrick Henry Branigan born May 15, 1931 at Prairiedale, SK passed away peacefully at Sunset Haven, Carnduff, SK in his 81st year.

Left to cherish precious memories are his wife of 52 years, Doris (Borreson) and their children: Rick (Colleen) Borreson, Susan Howard, John (Yaquelin) Branigan, Phyllis (Bob) Phair and Kelly (Colette) Branigan; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters, Inez Armitage, Eleanor Claxton and Arlene Branigan; sisters-in-law, Patricia Branigan, Mabel Jones and Sharon Borreson; and brother-in-law Glen Mosier, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Pat was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Irene Branigan; siblings, Jim, Don, Gerry and Evelyn, and his son-in-law Neil Howard.

Pat spent much of his life farming, first with his Grandfather Code at Phippen, then at Prairiedale before settling at Antler, SK. In addition to farming, he worked with Saskatchewan Municipal Hail for 22 years.

His great loves were his family, friends and his community to which he devoted countless hours of service. Pat’s friends and acquaintances across the country knew that he lived by the adage “a stranger is a friend I haven’t met yet.”

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Knox United Church, Redvers, with Rev. Cornelia van Bentum officiating. Interment will take place in the Antler Cemetery.
