Obituary for Micheline Adrienne Roussel

Micheline Adrienne  Roussel
Micheline Roussel, late of Regina, Saskatchewan and formerly of Redvers, Saskatchewan passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the age of 91 years.

Born youngest in a family of nine to Charles and Angelina Laferriere in Aubigny, Manitoba, Micheline grew up as the chosen daughter of Arthur and Jeanne George in Bellegarde, Saskatchewan. She married the love of her life, Albert Roussel in 1948 and together they raised their four children, farmed and were active members in the Bellegarde community. After retiring to Redvers, Micheline continued to enjoy travelling south for many years.

Micheline was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Albert in May 2008. She is survived by son Ivan (Jeannette), grandchildren Tracy (Pat) and Sheldon; son Ronald (Catherine), grandchildren Christopher (Amie) and Matthew; son Marc (Deb), grandchildren Kari (Chad), Candice (Jared) and Michael; and daughter Ella (Dave) grandchildren Dominic (Nicole) and Gabrielle (Ryan); along with great grandchildren Quinn, Rhys, Alex, Pierce and Madeline. Micheline is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 425 Broad Street North, Regina, by Rev. Peter Thang Nguyen.

Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

Donations in Micheline’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
