Obituary for Michael James Muir

Michael James Muir
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Micheal James Muir. Mike was born April 17, 1974 and grew up in Kennedy, SK.

He was predeceased by his mother Kathy in 2011. Mike is survived by his daughter Darylanne Hamelin (Tanner Dutton); father John; sister Cynthia; brothers, Ryan (Susan Bloor) and Jerry (Brenda), and niece and nephew Brooklyn and Draven.

Mike lived his life by the motto "work hard, play hard". He dedicated himself to building his business, Quality Wireline Services through supporting his staff and serving his customers. But, when work was done he dedicated the same level of passion devoting every spare second to the pursuit of adventure - snowboarding, traveling, skydiving, wakeboarding, Vegas escapades, and entertaining friends, family, coworkers, and the Tap House crowd with his individual brand of humour, wit, and frivolity.

Mike was a man of great integrity. This showed through in his business and personal relationships alike. He was a pillar of strength for his family, friends, and co-workers. He was a proud and dedicated father to DJ, attended all of her school events and activities, and they shared an extraordinary and strong connection. Mike had character, charisma, a generous spirit, and a kind heart. Both his sincerity and genuine nature and his playful antics will be deeply missed by many.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wylie Mitchell Hall, 811 Souris Avenue, Estevan (on the exhibition grounds) with Carmella Mack officiating.

Following the service, a "Scottish Dredgy" (celebration of life) will be held at the Tap House, 1124 - 4th Street, Estevan.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Salvation Army Christmas hamper program would be greatly appreciated.
