Condolence: Our deepest sympathy to Elsie and family on the passing of Bill. Bill was a pleasure to work with while I was on the local school board. He was a positive force who kept the interests of the students first, and was always willing to listen and lend a helping hand when needed. He was a good man who will be missed.

Condolence: Elsie, Rhonda, Steven and family - I am so sad to learn of Bill's passing. Growing up I spent almost as much time in your home as I did my own. Our families were very much "one big family" in my heart and Bill was a second Dad to me, just as Elsie has always been like a second Mom. Bill is a big part of so many of my school-year memories - weekends at the lake, sleepovers at your place, and the many Sunday dinners that we shared.

One day in particular that stands out in my mind is the year Rhonda and I were in Grade 7, and we had the solar eclipse, which we had been advised the school was not going to allow us to watch. Our Dads kept us out of school that day, saying it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and they weren't about to let us miss it! And they were right, that was a great day and one I will never forget. I can still hear your Dad laughing, as I tried to figure out how to hold that welding glass together so I could have a look!

I can just see the reunion party happening in heaven right now - Bill, Dad, and Ted. He is in good company, and I hope there is some comfort for you, in knowing that. Please know that I'm thinking about you.
