Obituary for Martha Loretta Walliser (Gross)

Martha Loretta Walliser, of Estevan, SK passed away at the St. Joseph's Hospital, Estevan, SK on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the age of 84 years.

Martha Loretta Walliser was born August 15, 1930 in Lampman, Saskatchewan, daughter of Klementz and Katherine Gross. She was the youngest of 13 children. At the age of 4, they moved to Pierceland, Saskatchewan.

Martha's first passion was to become a nun, but God had other plans for her. She then became a nurses aid which brought her to Estevan. That is where she met the love of her life, Joe. They were married November 15, 1955. From this union they were blessed with 9 children, 6 sons and 3 daughters. Unfortunately on November 20, 1978, Joe passed away. At this time Martha had to rejoin the work force and went to work at the Estevan Regional Nursing home as a nurses aid. Little did she know that this would be her home for the last 12 ½ years of her life.

We love you mom and we will miss you. Say hi to Dad for us!

Martha is survived by her children, Peter (Michelle), Terry (Carolyn), Rick (Leslie), Clem (Marilyn), Sheila (Randy), Keith (Edna), Dave (Corine), Barb (Nathan), Carla (Paul); 29 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Rawlake and numerous nieces and nephews.
