Obituary for John Yakamovich

John Yakamovich
1926 – 2016

John Yakamovich passed away with family by his side on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Estevan, SK at the age of 90 years.

Left to cherish the precious memories of John are one brother Bill (Rita) Yakamovich, Cornwall, ON; sister Ann Gaudreau, Laval, Quebec; several nieces and nephews (great, Great-great and Great-great-great) as well as many wonderful friends.

John was predeceased by his parents, Matys and Katherine Yakamovich; brother, Peter Yakamovich; sisters, Jean Buday, Effie Hrycyk, Len Dobbie, Olga Davies and Mary Dzuba.

The Graveside Service for John took place on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bienfait Cemetery, Bienfait, SK, with Sandy Dalziel officiating. A luncheon followed at St. Monica's Parish Hall, Bienfait.

John was very proud to be a part of this documentary and was very supportive of refurbishing the local locomotive #3522 in Bienfait.
