Condolence: Mike was a teammate on the 2002 Manitoba Alliance Fastball Club based out of Winnipeg. There were lots of road trips & time around the field & Mike became a good friend to a lot of players. He fit in immediately & was a key member of the team that traveled to the ISC tournament in Ontario & hosted Canadian Nationals in Winnipeg. I remember back to one of the Grain Challenge hockey tournaments in Winnipeg... 14 years ago actually, you called from Estevan asking if we needed a goalie, because you "knew a guy".... you just didn't tell us he had played for the Detroit Redwings!! I remember it was 14 years ago because.. at the tournament, in typical Mike fashion, you were checking to make sure everyone had a drink before you sat down. You noticed that Lynne didn't have one and politely refused one when offered (lol unlike her), to which you asked "how come, are you knocked up?' Her answer, 'yes, actually I am'... I can still see the shade of red glowing on your face followed by numerous apologies and a lot of laughs!! Anyway we actually lost in the final to SWP, as Trent Rude's blistering snap shot 'butterflied' over Millers glove to win the game and the tournament. Thanks for the memories Mike, you'll always be in our thoughts. We've lost a friend and a co-worker - too young.
