1928 - 2018

Sam passed away peacefully on Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. Joseph's Long Term Care, Estevan, SK at the age of 89 years.

Sam is lovingly remembered by his daughter Shirley (Gary) Peterson, Estevan, SK; grandchildren, Wanda, Penticton, BC, Sam (Carla), Estevan, SK, Tyler (Stacey), Estevan, SK and Alyssa, Estevan, SK; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson; brothers, Richard and Toby; sisters, Mary (Tom), Doris and Inez, Gladys (Don), Minnie and Lil as well as many nieces and nephews as well as special friends, Maurice and Liz Hadi.

Sam was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Louise (née Gader) Hassen; wife Ivy (née McMillian); sons, Doug and Ken; brothers, Sid, Al and Moe; sisters, Ishie and Faye

The Memorial Service was held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, Regina, SK with Funeral Celebrant Janet Mitchell officiating. The lunch reception was held immediately following the service at the Speers Family Centre and the interment took place following the lunch at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Regina.
