Condolence From: Valdina Di Betta
Condolence: My deepest sympathies to Erv's loved ones. I worked with Erv at RBC for several years, but never in the same office. As we had similar roles for many years, we talked often, and met on a few occasions. What a pleasure to know him! During this time, I came to think of Erv as a friend. What a thoughtful, kind and fun guy! He was a quiet leader, and a man of character. We were lucky to know him, and I treasure the memories I have of this wonderful fellow. Bless you Erv

Condolence: Our deepest condolences to Erv's family. I had the good fortune to know Erv for many years as we started with RBC together. I worked with him for several years as well, and he was always putting in the extra effort to share his insight, with a passion to make things better for all those he came in touch with. He had a great sense of humor. I remember him laughing over good jokes, which even brought tears to his eyes at times! We have lost a good friend, and he left us with many good memories to remember him.....

Condolence: Very deep condolences to the Cote family. Erven will be very missed. He was a kind and gentle friend who loved unconditionally I spent a few years with Erven when he lived in Calgary. Always was a cheery fellow who lifted your spirit when you were down. He was a silly fun caring man who loved life, his friends and family. He stuck up for the less fortunate and always spoke his mind. You will be missed forever and always.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies to Erv's family. Erv and I worked together many times over the years and we became close friends, not just co-workers. I loved his beautiful smile and sense of humour. I loved his vulnerability. We shared many tears together. Erv accepted people for who they were, regardless of skin colour, religious affiliation or sexual orientation. He strongly defended those who were less fortunate in life. I will miss his thoughtful conversations on everything from religion to politics. I will miss his smile. I will just miss my friend Erv Cote who was a kindred spirit in so many ways. It was a privilege to call him my friend and I am proud to have known him.
