Lee Harold Southernwood
1958 – 2022

Lee Southernwood, late of Moose Jaw, SK and formerly of Estevan, SK passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the age of 63 years.

Lee will be lovingly missed by his wife, Katrina of Moose Jaw; step-son Ryan of Calgary and step-daughter Adrienne of Regina; mother Beryl Southernwood of Estevan; sister Carol (Moray) Wilson of Estevan; mother-in-law Sheila Kuntz-Kotylak of Virden, MB; uncle Keith McGregor of Midale; Brenda Wilgenbusch of Halbrite; Carla (Tom) Mesic of Calgary, AB; Ross (Karen) McGregor of Midale; “special” Moose Jaw cousins, Tracy Koshman, Laurie Gaudreault, Rod Southernwood, Jim Southernwood, Tim Southernwood of Edmonton, AB and his beloved dogs, Lulu, Logan and Rosie.

Lee was predeceased by his first wife Christine (Sonmor); father Calvin Southernwood and aunt Marvel McGregor.

Lee was born to Calvin and Beryl (McGregor) Southernwood.  Lee graduated from ECS in 1976 and attended SIAST in Moose Jaw where he obtained his Journeyman Electrician papers.  Lee was a proud member of the IBEW and enjoyed working on many large projects in the Estevan area including the Shand Power Station and construction of the large shovels working at the mines.  Lee enjoyed dancing, trap shooting, visiting with friends and family, and the joy and companionship of his dogs.

A Celebration of Lee’s life was held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan with Sandy Dalziel officiating. A time of fellowship and lunch followed at the Taylorton Room, Days Inn, Estevan.

The Graveside Service was held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens.
