1925 - 2019
André "Andy" Arthur George passed away at the Redvers Health Centre Long Term Care Facility, Redvers, Sask. on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the age of 94.
Precious memories of Andy will be forever cherished by his wife of 70 years, Marie (Wilvers) George and their children: Marjorie and grandchildren: Sheri (Greg), Shawn (Christie) and Tara (Ryan); Richard (Jacqueline) and grandchildren: Craig (Monique), Corey (Chylisse), Steven (Heather) and Jonathan (Brittany); David (Jeanette) and grandchildren: Kevin (Kim), Derek (Jane) and Christopher (Kyla); Marc (Danielle) and grandchildren: Lindsay (Eric), Galen (Karissa) and Adam (Shay); Diane (Ken) and grandchildren: Clark (Alina) and Carter (Cassandra), as well as 26 great grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law: Cecile George, Georgette Matthewson, Zoe Blezy, Yvette Holden (Ron), Noella Conley and Eveline Lucyk, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Andy was predeceased by his great granddaughters: Maddie and Everly George; son-in-law Grant Meadows; parents: Joseph and Elisa George; brother Lucien and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Maurice R.C. Church, Bellegarde, Sask. by Rev. Ronald Andree. A luncheon followed at the Bellegarde Community Hall, after which the Rite of Committal took place at St. Maurice Parish Cemetery.
