Bent Lauritsen

1935 – 2023

Bent Egon Lauritsen of Redvers, Sask. passed away at the Southeast Integrated Care Centre, Moosomin, Sask. on May 19, 2023 at the age of 87.

Bent’s memory will be forever cherished by his wife of 61 years, Doris Lauritsen (née Pedersen) and their children: Karen (Ken) Greer, Kevin Lauritsen (Wendy Kimber), and Kristie (Shawn) Madsen; grandchildren: Meghan Greer, Justine Greer (Samson Swan), Ian (Madison) Greer, Kelsey Lauritsen (Brianna Gibson), Kendra Lauritsen (Colin Forsyth), Reese, Sydney, and Chelsea Madsen; great grandchildren: Wyatt and Cole Forsyth, Sybil, Azelie, and Pieta Greer. He is also survived by his nephews: Brian Gutscher, and Darin Pedersen, and niece Kelly Pedersen-Pawliw.

He was predeceased by his parents: Anton & Kristine (née Kristiansen) Lauritsen, and his sister Greta Gutscher.

The Funeral Service was held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Dannevirke Lutheran Church, Redvers, with The Rev. Michelle Moore officiating. Interment followed in the Dannevirke Lutheran Cemetery, after which a luncheon was held in the church hall.
