Obituary for Corey James McLean

Corey McLean
1968 - 2022

Corey passed away suddenly in Estevan, Sask. on July 23, 2022 at the age of 53.

Corey is survived by his mother Jeanette McLean; brother Scott (Barbara) McLean and their children: Kaitlyn, Addyson and George, as well as his extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his father Raymond McLean."

Corey had been a devoted Kinsmen of the Estevan Kinsmen club and always the first to provide support wherever the community needed it. It is there where I saw the most beautiful form of love and compassion in one single human. He loved hockey and would be found at any rink cheering on whatever game was playing. He loved coming down and watching any of his “nieces and nephew” play whatever sport they had interest in and would always make sure to give a positive remark after each game. He was an avid Roughriders fan and you could always spot him in a crowd sporting his curly green wig on game days. Corey was one if a kind. He had the purest heart and most wonderful humour. If you needed a laugh or a shoulder, he was there readily for you. We will miss our uncle Corey so greatly.

Corey, you were mouthy and sarcastic but so very fiercely protective of those you cared about. Kind and generous and active. We always knew you had our backs no matter what. Shenanicrew will never be the same - love and miss you gruncle

Who was Corey Mclean. He was a son a brother and a friend to everyone he knew. I don't know any other person that brought so much laughter to so many lives. He would help anywhere anytime without hesitation. He had many nicknames like baddad grampa pops and spriggs. Anytime I had a tough week I knew if I saw him I would forget about my troubles and laugh and laugh alot. He liked his rye, kfc, and the riders in no particular order. You will always be remembered, your memories will continue to make us all smile and your dances moves can never be duplicated. Love you brother.

Corey was an amazing most lovable man who always brighten a room when he walked in … “Kenny Springs” Christmas will never be the same without you I will forever cherish the “my favorite nurse Sheri-Ann Vezina” that you always would say to me.
Forever loved, momma Sheri-Ann and Archie
