Peter, Penny, Glenn and Sheila and families ~ I have many fond memories of time spent with your family and your mom's quiet demure and friendly smile was always so calming and pleasant.
I remember her laughter usually after some joke or activity told by Peter, such as the night Peter with the help of Gordon Geske put my car up on blocks just off the ground enough that I could not get traction when I went to leave in the dark - Peter and Gordie were laughing, Darleane was trying to act like they were bad little boys, but, laughing and smiling all along. Good memories, Darleane told me the story of Glenn and his love of snakes, trying to sneak them in the house, she knew if his shirt was tucked into his pants he was trying to smuggle something into the house. She told the story with a stern look but her eyes were twinkling... Darleane ALWAYS came and said hi to me after church every time I returned for a weekend, always took the time to talk to me and check in on how I was doing. A special lady that will be missed by many.

To Peter and Family: It was with sadness that I read of Darleane's recent passing. Our sympathies go out to all of you through this sad and difficult time. I have fond memories of you Peter (and Darleane being right there carefully watching over us ) every time I was called to the farm to attend to a calving issue regardless of the time of day or night. People often ask me if I miss those days(nights) and my answer is always the same- no but I sure miss the wonderful people that I had the pleasure of assisting. Darleane was certainly one of those people , as were you Peter. Our thoughts are with you all.

To Peter and All the Kids, Murray and I send our sympathies. She has gone to a much better place
where she will be Welcomed by Our Lord Jesus Christ. We wish we could come, but our health
issues won"t let us. We send you our Love, Darleane was quite a good curler in her younger days. She curled with Murray in several bonspiels in Midale. Take care Peter. Sincerely Loney.
