Daryl Lloyd Gibson
1934 - 2023


Daryl Lloyd Gibson, late of White Bear Lake Resort, passed away on March 8, 2023 at the Arcola Health Centre, Arcola, SK at the age of 88 years.

Daryl was preceded in death by sons, Trav and Faron; sister Isobel and his parents Muriel and Lloyd Gibson. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Phyllis Gibson (nee Standingready) and children - Lance, Dean, Vanessa and Romy. Fond memories will be cherished by grandchildren, Tiffany, Leah, Reid, Katarina, Julien, Quaid, Hayley, Cole and Chloe; great grandchildren Kaden, Kieran, Lucien, Ciera, Ethan, Montgomery, Koen and Zodi; daughter in-law Connie, and brother Frank Gibson.

Daryl was a kind and loving husband, parent, grandparent, great grandparent and brother. His love of his family was immeasurable, and he found great joy and pride in his children and grandchildren’s endeavours.

Daryl worked for Canadian Pacific Railway from 1952 until 1992 retiring as a Locomotive Engineer. He enjoyed his work life but enjoyed his retirement even more. He was a very kind, caring and loyal man. All who knew him will miss him immensely but are comforted by Daryl’s kind, humorous and generous gifts he left us.

A celebration of “A Life Well Lived”, will take place at the White Bear First Nations this spring.
