Derald D. Marchand
1950 - 2022

It is with broken hearts, that we share that Derald D. Marchand, of Torquay, Saskatchewan passed away on July 19, 2022, at the age of 72 years.  Derald was born on July 3, 1950, to Joseph Raymond and Lenora Barbara in Regina. He is the oldest of six siblings, Randy (Sheila) Marchand, Margo (Garry) Hammett, Jocelyn (Stanley) Weinrauch, Joyce (Jim) Halladay, and Michelle (Jack) Betke.

Derald will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Michelle, of 51 years, their daughter Amanda (Anson) Tam, and two precious grandchildren, Pierson and Ellora and his step-mom Irene Marchand, as well as siblings, uncles, aunts, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Derald was predeceased by his mother Lenora, his father Raymond and his brother-in-law Garry. He is survived by his loving wife Michelle, daughter Amanda, son-in-law Anson, grandchildren Pierson and Ellora, his siblings and nieces and nephews.

In honoring Derald’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Derald was cremated, and a private gathering will be planned by the family in due course.

All of those who were a part of Derald’s life and all those who hold his memory in their heart. Derald’s family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the nurses and doctors at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Estevan and Regina General who worked tirelessly to help Derald heal. The family and friends who offered endless support through love, care, and companionship throughout the time Derald was ill.
