Obituary for Donna Marie Shepherd (Kaye (Kenowekesequape))



DONNA MARIE SHEPHERD (KAYE)

December 15, 1964 – September 1, 2023

In Loving Memory of Donna who passed away September 1, 2023 in Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 58.

Donna will be reunited in the afterlife with her parents Phyllis Kaye, her father Mike Peepeech, her brother Blaine Kaye, her daughter Rena Akachuck, and her niece Sharon Kaye.  

Donna is survived by her husband Delbert Shepherd (aka Teddy Bear), her children, Christine Shepherd (Sedrick Kakakaway), Andrea Shepherd (Cody McNair), Brandon Shepherd, her sisters, Elaine Kenowekesequape and Millicent Kenowekesequape and her grandchildren, Denita, Vaughan, Denzel, Tasia, Olivia, Jarome, Hailey, Riley, Santana, Liam, Atticus, Maddox, Owen, Rylan and Mina Kaye who raised her.

Donna also leaves behind her nieces and nephews:  Calvin (Colette), Maria, Justin (Jasmine), Marissa (Arland), Mariah, Marina (Jayden), her grandchildren, Jillian, Miri, Shenoa, Mavis, Jerome, Jayme, Creedance, Jupiter, Jedi, Courage, Juni, her sister Elaine Kaye and children Dwayne, Mandy, Lorne, Blaine, Roberta, Harlow, Kreelyn, Tulaih, Adrian, Nicholas.  Donna will also be remembered lovingly by her numerous friends and relatives.  

A Wake was held Friday evening, September 8, 2023 at the White Bear First Nations’ Community Hall.  Funeral Services commenced with a Feast at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 9, 2023 with the interment at the Dawson’s Cemetery.  Officiating was Elder Edward Kaye of the ZagimÄ“ First Nation.

 
Pallbearers include Michael Shepherd, Quinton Kakakaway, Mallory Maxie, Lorne Kakakaway, Perry Kaye and Calvin Kaye.

The family would like to thank all who have reached out to support them.
