The family of Ivan Matthewson of Redvers, Sask., sadly announces his sudden passing in Redvers on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the age of 76.
Ivan’s memory will be forever cherished by his loving family: son Gordie Matthewson; grandchildren: Kyndal, Shayla (Rory), Austin and Makayla; daughter Cathy (Alain) Gaudet; grandchildren: Craig (Kayleen), Shanlee (Carson) and Brady (Brit); daughter Dawn (Jeff) Eilers; granddaughter Katie; great grandchildren: Drayden, Zeppelin and Halo Yates; Holly Matthewson; Brooks, Jake and Mya Gaudet. He will also be missed and remembered by his siblings: Bill Matthewson, Carmen (Donna) Matthewson, Lorraine Smyth and Helen (Lucien) Garnier; sisters-in-law: Georgie Matthewson, Eleanore Matthewson, Margaret Zelionka, Jeannette Zelionka and Jeanne (Don) Yeik.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Zelionka); grandson Cole Eilers; parents: Gordon and Elizabeth (Parker) Matthewson; siblings: Lawrence Matthewson, Donald (Rita) Matthewson, Eddie Matthewson and Harvey Matthewson; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Stanley & Katie Zelionka; brothers-in-law: George Smyth and Eddie Zelionka.
A Private Family Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Redvers, Sask. with Rev. Ronald Andree presiding. Interment followed in the Redvers Town Cemetery.
