Obituary for Linda Joan Babyak (Bernath)

Linda Babyak
1955 - 2022

Linda Babyak (nee Bernath) passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday November 22, 2022 at the age of 67 after a short battle with cancer.

Besides spending time with family and friends, Linda loved sewing, crocheting, crafting, traveling and most of all, golfing.  Linda and Chris traveled to Mexico many times.  As well, they were able to spend a month in California and take a few trips out to Nanaimo to visit family. Linda and her girls were also able to take a memorable trip to New York. Linda took up golfing and her and Chris spent much of their summers out on the golf course.  She loved and was so very proud of her grandchildren.  With all of us, you could always count on her giving advice and guiding us to be our better selves.  She had a wicked sense of humor and kept us laughing right until the time she had to leave this earth.

Linda will be forever in the hearts of her husband of 50 years, Chris; daughters Tina (Ed) and Angie (Alex); her grandchildren Bailey (Levi), Braiden, Anya and Teah. She is also survived by her sisters Marie (Albert), Joyce (Ross) and Joan (Linus) and her brothers Jim (Donna), Don (Luella), Blair (Peggy), Kelly (Linda), Rodney (Lorie) and Brent (Bibi).  Sister-in-laws Jan (Rudy), Doretta (Don), Dianne (Terry).  Brother-in-laws Jerry (Lorraine), Jerry (Caryn), Dan (Charlotte), Ken (Linda) as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, her wonderful friend Brenda and many other friends.

Linda was predeceased by her father and mother Emil and Elizabeth (Abdai) Bernath, her sister Jeannette, brothers-in-law Dave and Mike.

A celebration of life and luncheon will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Estevan branch on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 1:00pm with a private family interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers those so wishing may make donations in memory of Linda to Stars Air Ambulance, 2640 Airport Rd., Regina, SK S4W 1A3.
