Lucille Littlechief (Maminas)
May 30, 1932 – February 24, 2023


In Loving Memory of Lucille Littlechief who passed away February 24, 2023 at the Deerview Lodge in Wawota, Saskatchewan at the age of 90.

Lucille will be reunited in the afterlife with her parents, Nina & Billy Maminas; her husbands, Andrew Littlechief and Howard Shepherd; her sister Irene Standingready; her daughters, Myrtle Littlechief & Bertha Quinn; her seven sons, and five of her grandchildren.   

Lucille is survived by her children, Barry Shepherd, Milton Shepherd (Jacqueline), Elaine Shepherd, Kathleen Shepherd (Wade), Davis Shepherd (Eunice) & Edward Littlechief (Bullrider); five nieces, six nephews, 17 granddaughters and 14 grandsons, 38 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
   
Lucille also leaves behind her sister Lillian (Victor) Bigeagle in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, uncles and all family and community that met and knew her. She loved all.   

A wake was held Wednesday evening, March 1, 2023 at the White Bear First Nations’ Community Hall. Funeral Services commenced with a Feast at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023 with the interment at Dawson Cemetery. Elder Michael Lonechild officiated.

Pallbearers included Robin Kyle Bigeagle, Lawrence Shepherd, David Littlechief & Randy Lonechild. The Honorary Pallbearers are Margaret Bruce, Alice McArthur, Nora Kakakaway, Audrey Kakakaway & Doreen Shepherd.

Many thanks, appreciation and gratitude for all the kindness, love, respect and honour from all that have met our beautiful loving spirit; our Matriarch, Lucille, be forever missed, cherished and loved.
