Lorraine was born on her Aunt's farm west of Fairlight and was an only child. Growing up on the farm Mom developed a huge love for horses, a love which she shared with Bob years later. Mom lived in many different places during her life before settling in Redvers in 1966.  Soon after she started working at George's Pharmacy (Redvers) and worked there for 23 years. Over the years she was a member of the Fairlight Home Makers Club and was a member of the Redvers Legion Auxilary for 33 years. She was very sports minded. In her school years she played hockey and softball. While living in BC she enjoyed bowling and playing ladies softball as a second baseman. She also enjoyed golfing and many years of curling.  Mom was an avid sports fan, watching her sons, granddaughters, and great grandsons play a variety of sports. You would often find her watching sports on tv, whether it be the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, curling or the Roughriders.

She enjoyed spending time at the cabin, gardening, watching and feeding the birds, bingo, playing cards, and doing puzzles. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family! Many laughs were shared at family gatherings around the card table, or around the campfire listening to her sons sing and play guitar. We will miss her tremendous love, hearty laugh and witty remarks. Love you forever Mom/ Grandma!

In keeping with Lorraine’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
