Marjorie Elizabeth McElroy
1923 - 2019
Marjorie McElroy late of Weyburn, SK and formerly of Arcola, SK passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Weyburn General Hospital at the age of 95 years.
Marjorie is survived by her brother Roy Johnston of Stoughton, SK as well as nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Lorne in 1999; parents Sandy & Ethel Johnston; sisters, Vera Moet and Margaret Olsen; and brothers, Kenneth, Dave and Norman Johnston.
Marjorie & Lorne worked alongside each other farming until they moved into Arcola in 1997. Marjorie made and beautifully decorated wedding cakes and anniversary cakes for many, many special times in local neighbours’ lives! Some of Marjorie’s other passions were quilting with her twin sister Margaret and nurturing her flowers!
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arcola Cemetery with Rev. Michelle Moore presiding.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Hilltop Manor Care Home in Weyburn where Marjorie resided since 2013.
