Obituary for Marvin Wilmer Shauf

Marvin Wilmer Shauf
1951 - 2020

With heavy hearts the family wishes to announce that Marvin Shauf, late of Stoughton, SK passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Estevan, SK on Monday March 30, 2020 at the age of 68 years.

Marvin was the third oldest of six children, born to Ivan and Loris Shauf. They were raised in Macoun, SK and later years in Kincaid, SK. Marvin married Colette on July 12, 1975 and they welcomed their first son, Steven, in 1977, their second son, Aaron, in 1979 and their third son, Brenden, in 1981. Marvin was a farmer his whole life in the Viewfield area. He also spent many years working with the Saskatchewan Wheat Board, CFA and APAS where he was able to experience travel to many countries.

Marvin was predeceased by his father Ivan in 2004; mother Loris in 2008; sister-in-law Linda in 2006 and brother-in-law Barry in 2019.

Marvin is survived by his wife Colette; son Steven Shauf (Chrissy Shauf), Estevan, SK and their children Kiera and Kruz Shauf; son Aaron Shauf (Aida Thorisdottir), Regina, SK and his child Adelie Shauf; son Brenden Shauf (Karen Shauf), Estevan, SK and children Semiah, Kasia, Chance, Lakyn and Ceanna; Marvin’s siblings: Dale Shauf, Regina, SK, Gerald Shauf (Florence Leibel), Estevan, SK, Jo Ann Larsen, Oungre, SK, Brian Shauf (Carol), Chilliwack, B.C., Murray Shauf, Estevan, SK and Colette’s siblings: Mike Wanner (Marlene), Ecuador, South America, Bert Wanner (predeceased), Ramona Timar (Alvin Will), Drumheller, AB, Patrick Wanner (Lydia), Torquay, SK, Geralynne Mitschke (Al), Vancouver, B.C., Jacqueline Trombley (Brian), Midale, SK, Greg Wanner, Estevan, SK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Marvin's life was held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with Sandy Dalziel officiating. Interment took place at the Estevan City Cemetery.
