Obituary for Mildred Dorothy Eveline Fraser

Mildred Dorothy Eveline Fraser (Mid)
July 15, 1924 – May 3, 2022

It is with great sadness, yet with resurrection hope, that the family announces the passing of Mildred Fraser “Mid” who fell asleep in the Lord at 97 years of age on May 3, 2022. Mid was born in Orillia, Ontario on July 15, 1924 to Charles and Myrtle Fraser, the 3rd of 13 children. Mid’s father having died when she was very young was raised by her mother and stepfather Malcom Shaw.

Mid is survived by three daughters, Carol McCrea Figler (Gerald) of Stoughton, Linda Lauzon (Ray) of Pilot Butte and Doris Kuntz of Regina; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mid was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Sidney McCrea who was killed in World War II, her second husband Hugh Fraser, three children, Donna McCrea Falconer, Wayne Fraser, Ronald Fraser and one grandson Daryl Figler.

Mom was a devoted wife and mother who was a very hard worker, a fantastic cook, gardener and really knew how to stretch a dollar. Life was hard in the 50’s but she faced it like a champion. Mom started to attend a church because of the encouragement of the Pastor’s wife at that time and she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her faith in God never waivered from that time until her last breath.

The Funeral Service for Mid will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stoughton Apostolic Church with Pastor Darrel Durksen officiating. Interment will be held at the Stoughton Town Cemetery immediately following the service. The lunch reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
