Richard William Demér
1945 – 2019
It is with heavy hearts that the family wishes to announce that Rick Demér, late of Carnduff, SK and formerly of Estevan, SK, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 73 years.
Rick was predeceased by his parents, William and Patricia Demér; his loving wife of 35 years Linda Demér (nee Swaenepoel); sisters-in-law, Leona Cowan and Gwen Barclay and parents-in-law Frank and Edna Swaenepoel and Gordon and Myrtle Hedin.
Rick is survived by his loving wife Maxine Hedin; and his children, Bill “Butch” (Wendy) and their family Jordan and Josie; Chris (Jocelyn) and their family Taylor Anne, Brittany and Mathew; Twyla (Mike) and their family Corbin, Dayton, Emma and Tylan; step-children Anita and her family Amanda and Alexander; Jeffrey and his family Jordyn and Joslyn; and Joanne and her family Jaclyn and Jake. Rick will be greatly missed by great grandchildren Isaac, Grace, Leo and Sadie; brothers-in-law John (Vonna) Swaenepoel, Glen Barclay and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service was held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Estevan with Rev. Daniel Krauss officiating. A time of lunch and fellowship was held in the social hall immediately following the service. Interment will take place at a later date.
