Nov. 1st sunset. In just one day, from one sunset to the next, everything can change. Shanisse, the girl who defied all of the odds, a feisty walking, talking miracle, singing sensation, diva, fearless warrior, beautiful heart and beautiful soul, had slipped away. You are no longer on this side of Heaven. Your mom and dad and your brother, your grandparents, your aunts, your cousins…what heartache. Last night, a few hours after I got the news, I could see the sun starting to go down and I went out to look for something, a sign, trying to take away some of the heartache. The sunset was so beautiful. There were these long streaks radiating out from the sun and I believe those were trails of angels carrying you home. I took my camera looking for something up above and I got it. And I fell in the swamp with one foot doing it. And I believe that you saw this and I know you laughed.

Until we meet again, beautiful girl.

That’s very very sad news about her passing. I remember her flitting around the church building with such a big smile and so much energy! What a beautiful young woman she grew to be. She was certainly a very special gift from God. Bless your family as you grieve. ❤️💔

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. To know Shanisse was to love her. Her enthusiasm and positivity was contagious. It seems like yesterday that she was just a little girl at Westview School. And I remember how excited and proud she was on her graduation day. It was a great honour and pleasure to have known her.
