She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Martha Dyer; second husband Howard Rutten; sister Marlene Dyer; sisters-in-law: Phyllis Dyer, Cheryl Dyer and Dorothy Dyer and stepson-in-law Todd Goertz.

Sharon will always be remembered for the sweet kindness in her heart and a smile for everyone she encountered. She had a wholehearted love for family, and she loved being a mom, grandma and great grandma. She always looked forward to the next family gathering, reunion, or phone call.

Our mom wore many hats, juggling the hard work on the farm and the jobs she had in town over the years, taking us girls to church and taxiing us back and forth from singing and music lessons, sports, and other extracurricular activities. She allowed us to take part in so many things, giving us endless opportunities in our lives.

Sharon had a huge interest in history and our family generations. She got her hands on every history book that was available. If you wanted to know when or where someone was born, their children's names or their mother's maiden name, you just had to ask Sharon. She was the family photographer. She loved taking pictures of people at every event and on every occasion - a quick pose and “say pickles!". She took great joy in spending countless hours looking at all the pictures she took over the years of all the wonderful people in her life.

Sharon loved being part of her community and took part in as many events possible. She loved and was loved by an abundance of friends and took every opportunity to connect with those friends, visiting the hours away.

Her faithful devotion to her church family was evident. It brings us great comfort knowing that she now resides with the Angels and her Heavenly Father.

A celebration of Sharon’s life was held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Morris Cemetery, Carlyle, Sask. Following the service at the cemetery, everyone was invited to join Sharon’s family for a time of fellowship and refreshments at the Full Gospel Church in Carlyle.
