My good friend, Rose, asked her dad, Lyle, to give me a job when I was 18.. I remember he told her I had to go to The Manpower office first, to follow the right channels. He thought it was pretty funny but he gave me the job after that. Thelma even made lunch sandwiches for me. Something I've never forgotten.
