I worked with Phil for over 20 years at Acklands Ltd and earned a tremendous respect for him as not only a talented manager but also a very special friend. Phil was one of the most honest and hard working individuals I have had the honor to know. Phil and La Vina were a big part of the Acklands family as we all enjoyed them at many functions over the years. Phil become the official bell ringer for us and made sure no one missed any of those early meetings. Phil you will be sorely missed by all you Acklands friends. Rest in Peace Ted and Dolly Stokes

Phil is going to be greatly missed. He always had a special treat for us at work...his butter tarts were the greatest!! He even thought of our health by giving us a break on the baking and bringing us healthy fruit snacks. I will miss our chats but most of all the postive spirit you brought with you!! Rest in peace!

Deepest sympathy Ty and family on the passing of your father and grandfather. Phil was an incredible man whom we all admired. Never one to sit back and complain even when life was throwing him very difficult punches. He was my mom's best friend and he idolized and admired her beyond words. For that we are very grateful, but very saddened to see him go. Hard to imagine a world without Phil. But I know he is at peace now.....love you Phil
