Memories of Cadets and Mr. Olsen's life advice

I haven't seen Mr. Olsen for about 30 or 35 years nor Shelley or Kelly.  I was really happy to have reconnected over Facebook in just the past month or two, and was happy to see Mr. Olsen playing cards in some pictures on Facebook.  Despite all this time, hearing of his passing has really touched me.  I remember every Tuesday for about 4 or 5 years seeing him regularly, with his big smile, and his kind words for all of us kids at Air Cadets.  He was so gentle and had no pretence about him.  He was really my favourite adult to see at Cadets.  We used to talk lots before Parade and especially during our winter and spring campouts.  He gave me lots of advice on how to be a good man and try to live my life when i moved to wherever i was going to move.  To all of the Olsens, he lives on in everyones memory that ever knew him, and his kindness while he was with us has grown hundreds if not thousands of times over.  Its funny that after all these years, that is gift of kindness has just grown over time.

What a legacy for a wonderful man.
