Obituary for Albert Jorgensen

Albert Jorgensen
1929 - 2016

Albert Jorgensen passed away peacefully April 11, 2016 at the General Hospital in Regina, SK at the age of 86 years.

Albert was born on November 9, 1929 on the family farm south of Redvers, Saskatchewan. He grew up on the farm and went to Redvers School. He farmed most of his life in partnership with his brother Verne. They raised purebred Simmental cattle as well as commercial cattle. Verne and Albert moved into a condo at Redvers Union Estates in the fall of 2011.

Albert’s family would like to thank the staff of Brightwater Memory Care Community in Regina, where he was a resident for the past year, for their compassionate care during his stay.

Albert was predeceased by his parents August and Olivia Jorgensen, brother Verne, brother-in-law Walter McClughan, and nephew Randy Jorgensen.

Albert is survived by his sister Helen McClughan, her son Craig (Cathy), her daughter Shannon (John) Linnen; his brother Lloyd (Pat) and their son Rick (Gail), their daughter Cindy (Cal) MacDonald; and his brother Ivan (Judy); as well as numerous cousins, great and great-great-nephews and nieces.

The Funeral Service was held at Dannevirke Lutheran Church, Redvers, SK on Saturday, April 16th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Michelle Moore officiating. The interment followed at Dannevirke Lutheran Cemetery and lunch was held at the church.

Donations may be made in Albert’s memory to a charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Redvers.
