Life Story for Denise Joy Cossette (Iverson)

Denise was born to Norbert and Muriel Iverson on August 9, 1973. She grew up in Spalding and Naicam, SK and graduated from Naicam High School in 1991.

Denise spent her summers working with her sisters and father in the family painting business and shortly after graduation, started taking on jobs of her own. Always a hard worker, she held various jobs around the town of Naicam, such as waitress, bartender and bakery assistant.

On March 2, 1995, Denise was blessed with her first daughter, Julia. April 28, 2000, she met the love of her life, TJ Cossette and on May 22, 2004 they were married. In March of 2005 they welcomed their daughter, Adrianna followed by their son, Roarke in January of 2007.

As a family, they enjoyed many happy times camping at Waskesieu or Candle Lake. Denise was always the one to encourage everyone to take part in the hikes and nature trails. Denise also enjoyed swimming, boating and had a love and talent for photography. She also enjoyed drawing, painting and reading.

Denise began her battle in 2012. Despite the intensity of the disease, Denise never gave up and fought to the very end. She refused to give up! She valued her life, family and friends and was not ready to leave them. Denise was a very private person, but for those that had the privilege to get to know her and count her as a friend you could be sure you had someone who was loyal, loving and reliable.

Denise was a loyal and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her and whose lives she touched.
