I remember Leonard from my days as Mayor. In his walks around the streets of Hillside and Scotsburn he often picked up garbage in his travels and tossed it into the garbage receptacles. Talked to him on more than one occasion and thanked him for this civic pride. Such a nice, gentle man to talk to. Sympathies to his family.
