Rejeanne's Wedding Night

This story goes back to over 21 years ago to the night of my best friend's (Rejeanne's) wedding. Although I may not remember everything exactly as it played out that long ago, here is the gist of the story I want to share. I was so excited to have been chosen as the Maid of Honour for Rejeanne's wedding. As I came from Regina, I was very kindly welcomed into the Boutin home to spend the night in Rejeanne's room (as her and Dallas were off together on their first night as a married couple). Mrs. Boutin (Marie Anna) was preparing Rejeanne's room for me when she came across Rejeanne's nightgown. She said something like "Oh, Rejeanne forgot to take her nightgown". Then, after a slight pause, she said, "I guess she won't be needing it tonight anyway!". We both had a good laugh and I felt very comfortable and at home with Marie Anna. Although I had only seen her a few times over the years I have known Rejeanne, I could tell that Marie Anna was a lovely, kind and gentle woman who loved and cared for her children, grandchildren and really everyone around her! Our deepest condolences go out to you Rejeanne, Dallas, Josie & Adrie and all of your extended family and friends. I am so sorry we were unable to make it to the funeral, but please know that we have been thinking about you guys constantly today and the last few days! I hope this memory, and many other happy ones, you have of your mom, grandma, etc. brings a smile to your face and is of some comfort during this difficult time. With love, always, Audrie (and Scott, Kayla, Marissa, Talia and Zachary)
