Message: Granny. Oh my Granny. You’ve enhanced, blessed and influenced my life greatly. I’m so sad ... but feel lucky at the same time I’ve had you in my corner forever. I miss you already. Please kiss my grandpa, my brother, Uncle Markie, Uncle Donnie, Uncle Graham and Aunt Ellie for me. I’m not sure who I can call a ‘raggedy old lady’ anymore so you’ll forever be in my heart as one. Lol ‘Just who do you think you are anyways? Well I’ll tell you. You’re a raggedy old lady... that’s who....!’ Oh Granny. My heart broke a bit this week. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. For loving me so much, keeping me safe, and giving me a lifetime of wisdom, advice and blessings, for being my matron of honor (I still say we’d have made the Guinness book if we’d have called em ...😂) and most of all, being my best friend throughout life. Thanks for teaching me a lifetime of lessons, for being the ‘only Saskatchewan Liberal’, for taking me to church, teaching me to cook and clean, and always giving me a place of solice and peace to come home to, always free of stress and conflict. That meant more than I ever told you. Thanks for the songs, stories, fishing, picnics, walks, rides, talks, lectures, lessons, quotes (‘No one Trevie. No one. Can make you feel inferior without your consent.’ Eleanor Roosevelt -1940 Was always one of my favorites. 😘) Late night cereal, storm watching together, crashing Uncle Markies motorcycle together, eating ice cream for supper, kfc, letting me cry in your lap all too often. And joining me crying all too often, lol folding me up in those soft strong arms and cuddling me. Buns. Your specialty. 💕 I can still smell you when I close my eyes. I love you so much Gran. xo Thank you most of all for always making me feel I belonged somewhere. Gawd I miss you so much already. My heart is happy you’re free and not in pain, but selfishly I just want you back. Thought I’d have you forever, I guess. :( I never ever had any doubt in you or your love and support for me, and I’m so very grateful. Thank you Granny. So very very much for everything.
