1992 – 2018
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Eric John Gedak in Moose Jaw, SK on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the age of 26 years.
Eric was born and raised in Estevan, SK and was currently attending SIAST in Moose Jaw, SK. Eric had many passions in his short life which included his partner Rachel Sauter, fishing, hunting, MMA, mechanics as well as his family and friends.
Eric was predeceased by his grandparents, Max and Kate Gulewich; aunt Shirley Valleau; uncle Anthony Bodin; as well as his MMA student Andrew Pasap.
Eric leaves a great void in the lives of many and will be greatly missed by his partner Rachel Sauter; mom Sally Gedak; dad Darren Gedak; brother Cam Gedak; Rachel’s parents, Brent and Mary Ann Sauter; and Rachel’s siblings, Danielle Hill, Jessica Sauter (Ryan Teeling), Anita Tetreault (Tom Friswell) and Mark Tetreault (Danielle McKenzie). Precious memories will remain with Eric’s grandparents, Britt and Elaine Gedak; grandpa Phil Sauter and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Prayer Service was held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan with Bill Mann officiating. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Estevan with Rev. Sathiadas Antony presiding. A time of lunch and fellowship followed in the church auditorium.
