We didn’t know John for very long - we first met him in July 2015 when we were filming our documentary around Bienfait. John had a story to tell, and agreed to appear in the film. We picked him up at his residence in Estevan and went for a nice drive through the valley. He showed us where he grew up near Taylorton, and many other long-forgotten sites. It was so interesting to listen to stories from his past. We were lucky to have met him, and we’re grateful for his contribution to our film. We fondly remember him, and are happy for the time that we shared. We miss you John.
Uncle Johnny, you will be missed, for 90 year we had you wish you would have stayed another 10 at least.you have always been uncle jonny and you will always be here.
