I was shocked to hear of Maurice passing. deepest condolence to the boys and there family . Maurice will be missed by all that knew him. so many great thoughts can't even wright them down. it'an honour to be a family member . may his spirt fly for ever . with all the greatest respect
Our deepest sympathy to each one of you.
It is with great sadness that we now say farewell to Maurice. He has always been a big part of our family, even though life can have some bumps along the way.
Being the youngest of the family I can only remember stories of how Maurice had fun.
Especially at dances held at the rural schools in the 1940's.
One Hallow'en, Maurice dressed up as a woman. High-heels, lipstick, blacked-out teeth, and a wig made from binder twine.(no bought wigs in those days)
Apparently a very fun time.
I remember how my Dad, Clarence Davidson, and Maurice would spend many hours working on airplanes. They were more like brothers than son-in-law and father-in-law.
He was a good farmer, provider, raised a great family, and loved to fly.
When the babies started arriving, I would go and help out and babysit while Yvonne was in the hospital.
Those little boys were sure BUSY and could drive any 13 or 14 year old aunt CRAZY! They're still busy but we love them all.
I was no cook but Maurice never complained about the burnt offerings he got.
Safe journey Maurice. Fly high.
And God bless.
Remembering you always.
Condolences to Maurice's family
I always enjoyed running into him, at the post office or at our place when Maurice & Dwight would be moving or working on their planes.
He always had a joke or story to tell me, I will miss him.
It is with heartfelt sympathy and deep regret to hear Maurice has passed away.
Within the past two months, we have seen him twice and marvelled at how well he was. He was always glad to see everyone and still had his good sense of humour.
He was a very special brother-in-law to us and Uncle to our children.
In early years we spent many of our holidays at the Monteyne farm with our teary-eyed kids when we had to leave.
We had many large, happy family gatherings also.
Percy speaks of the good times flying into Northern Saskatchewan on fishing trips with Maurice.
Maurice always the good, careful, dedicated pilot.
We know he was a good farmer. Something he was able to enjoy his whole life.
All of us were priveleged to have been part of his life.
May he be at peace.
You, the Family, are in our thoughts.
You have had a stressful past few months and handled it well.
Best wishes to all.
All our love.
My condolences to the family. Im so sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed many laughs and conversations with Maurice over the years. Spread your wings for the flight home my friend . You will be missed.
Dear Larry,Dwight,Marius,Keith & Families:
We are so very sorry to hear of Uncle Maurice's passing.
He was such a strong man that it is hard to believe he is gone.
He lived a long, good and mostly healthy life and was active right till the end.
He so loved to go to the farm.
I am so glad I got to see and have a nice visit with him at your mom's service.
I have such fond memories of him and Yvonne and of the many days the Hill family spent with you all at the farm.
Memories that I have always cherished.
Our thoughts are with you all.
Rest In Peace Uncle Maurice.
Always enjoyed our chats and visits! Sending our deepest condolences to all family & friends! He always made me laugh & smile and I am honoured to have known such a wonderful man! Rest in peace my friend.
