Trafiaks Times with Lars
Lars was Dad's closed of friends so Lars naturally became a close Uncle to us (Trafiak) kids growing up in Willmar. Lars spend time with us for speacil occasions/ holiday dinners and introduced us to his musical talents. 101 Accordion and song. As kids we grew up helping Lars on the farm. A man of patience and wisdom he kept our attention and shared his knowledge.
Farm Memories with Lars:
Planting garden/ picking rocks.
Trip to Cumberland house fishing.
Trips to Radville to visit with him and his family.
Hunting seasons, November hunting jumpers in Willmar area.
Shooting gophers.
Harvest season, plugging up Lars combine once twice maybe more. Driving lessons with the old international half-ton on Sunday's. Lars was good at repairing and always ready to go.
Ice cream sandwiches.
Lars birthday celebration Oct. 31, Mom and Dad always went to farm. We stayed home for trick and treating in Willmar.
